2021 Dennis O'Dowd Scholarship Now Available
The 2021 Dennis O’Dowd SCHOLARSHIP Rules & Application form is now available. Call the Novi hall (248) 344-9494 to get one mailed to you. These
are for sons/daughters of full dues-paying active/working members of Iron Workers Local 25 who are in their senior year of High School. The member
must have a minimum of five years of continuous membership to be eligible. All requests for complete rules and the application must be received
by March 31, 2021 and turned in by April 30, 2021.
In Remembrance: Robert Chiles
Robert Timothy Chiles, Age 52. August 18, 2020, formerly of Trenton, Michigan. Beloved husband to the late Christine. Loving and proud father of Robbie, Bella, and Jacob. Dearest brother to Tommy (Becki) Chiles, Katherine (Greg) Poucket, the late Patricia (Dan) Kohair, Mary Jane (Dennis) Johnson, the late Carolyn (Kevin) Collins. Also survived by his mother-in-law, Carol Stoddart, sister-in-law, Julie (Donald) Teskey and brother-in-laws, Jamie Betke, Ken (Cherie) Betke. Proceeded in death by his parents, Mary and Robert Chiles #485068.
He leaves to cherish many loving nieces, nephews and friends. Rob served as the President of Alta Equipment Company – Construction Group. All services are private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Rob’s life may be made to a scholarship fund being established for his children. Robert Chiles started an Apprenticeship with Local 25 in October 1988 through July 1992. Tommy “Bubba” Chiles #1112200 is a retired ironworker with Local 25.

Night Welding is open from 5 PM - 10 PM on the following dates: 7/14, 7/16, 7/28, 7/30. Call the training center for reserving a welding booth.
In Remembrance: Gerald Fisher
Iron Workers Local 25 Member Gerald Fisher #496549 passed away on June 29th, 2020. He is survived by 4 Ironworker sons and 2 Grandsons, predeceased by an Ironworker son and an Ironworker stepson. Gerald is also survived by his daughter and a step daughter.

In Memory of IW 25 Member Simon Stroia
Simon E. Stroia, age 82 of Livonia passed away on July 2, 2020. He was a 60- year member of Local 25.
Simon was born on August 30, 1937 in Warren, Ohio to his parents, Simon and Velma (née Walters) Stroia. He is the beloved and devoted husband of the late Sharon (née Bianco) Stroia who passed away in 2010; loving father of three daughters – Mary and her husband Ken McMahon, Kelly and her husband, Jim Oakes, and Sharon and her husband, Brian Acton; loving grandfather of seven and great-grandfather of three and devoted uncle to Barbara Behm and Pam Pannuccio. He is deeply loved and will be greatly missed by his sister and brothers, David and his wife Jeanie Stroia, Annette Pettinato, and Danny and his wife, Barbara Stroia.
Visitation will be at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth, MI on Tuesday, July 7, from 1-9 P.M. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 8, 2020 at St. Kenneth Catholic Church, 14951 North Haggerty Road, Plymouth. Simon will be in-state from 9:30 A.M. until the time of the Mass at 10:00 A.M. He will be laid to rest at Parkview Memorial Cemetery in Livonia.
Please be advised that in observance of the governmental order from the State of Michigan, when in attendance at the Visitation and Funeral Mass, we kindly ask for the safety and well-being of the families we serve and for your health, that everyone practices social distancing and consideration for other guests in attendance.
