Frederick Tanari passed away March 25, 2021 at the age of 81.

Beloved husband of Arlene "Toppy" for 53 years. Loving father of Mark & Samuel (Stephanie). Proud grandfather of Nicholas, Joshua and Sophia. Dear brother of Denise Spencer and Michael Tanari. Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Fred will leave behind many close friends. Fred worked for Display and Exhibit for many years before opening his own business Convention and Show services. Visitation Tuesday, March 30th 2-8 PM at Vermeulen-Sajewski Funeral Home, 46401 Ann Arbor Rd. W., (btwn Sheldon & Beck) Plymouth. In state Wednesday, March 31st 10 AM until the 10:30 AM Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, 47650 N. Territorial Rd., Plymouth. Expanded Eligibility for COVID-19 Vaccine, Ford Field Mass Vaccination Site Registration Link

Last week, the State of Michigan announced expanded vaccine eligibility for Michiganders ages 16 and older with disabilities or medical conditions that put them at high risk of negative COVID-19 outcome beginning Monday, March 22. The state also announced that beginning Monday, April 5, all Michiganders age 16 and up who were not previously eligible will be eligible to receive a vaccine.

Additionally, the White House Coronavirus Task Force announced that Detroit's Ford Field will be converted to a regional mass vaccination site. The site will open on March 24 to administer 6,000 doses a day for two months. Sign-up is now available through these three options:

Residents who don’t have access to the internet or need assistance navigating through the registration process can use the MDHHS COVID-19 Hotline to register. Call Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. It is expected that the call center will have long wait times, so calling is recommended only for people who cannot register online or by text.

Cynthia Nash (#1121481) passed March 10, 2021 at the age of 66. She was a 35-year member. Beloved wife of Carol Nash #824768.

Dear sister of Sherry (Don), Dianna (Archie), Karen and Vance. Cynthia was preceded in death by her parents, Bennie and Dolores. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and many loving friends. Cynthia will be deeply missed by family and friends. Visitation Sunday, March 21, 2021 from 4-7 pm with the service to be held at 7 pm at the Allen Park Chapel of Voran Funeral Home, 5900 Allen Rd. (313) 928-2300. 2021 Dennis O'Dowd Scholarship Now Available

The 2021 Dennis O’Dowd SCHOLARSHIP Rules & Application form is now available. Call the Novi hall (248) 344-9494 to get one mailed to you. These are for sons/daughters of full dues-paying active/working members of Iron Workers Local 25 who are in their senior year of High School. The member must have a minimum of five years of continuous membership to be eligible. All requests for complete rules and the application must be received by March 31, 2021 and turned in by April 30, 2021.
