It is with great sadness that we inform you of the death of Journeyman Iron Worker Harold Cooper. He was 79 years old and was a 60-year member. Harold was elected and served as Business Agent of Local Union No. 25 from 1973 to 1983. In 1983 he was elected and served as Vice President/BA until February 1987. On February 2, 1987 he was hired as a General Organizer of the International Association of Bridge, Structural and Ornamental Iron Workers and also became the President of the District Council of Michigan-Great Lakes and Vicinity and held those positions until his retirement on February 2, 2004. 

For the 1991, 1996 and 2001 International Conventions he served as a member of the Convention Coordination Committee.

Harold was predeceased by his son Thomas #1145946, and by his beloved wife Janette who passed about 5 years ago. He is survived by his adult children: Ronald, Donald, Crystal. Harold was a well-respected and loved member of the ironworker family. We would ask everyone to please keep Harold and his family in their prayers. 

Funeral Home, Visitation will be Sunday July 31 , 2022 from 3:00 to 8:00 pm 

Service & Burial on Monday August 1, 2022 at 10:00 am at the Funeral Home
